Street Elite Industries brought their latest show stopper customer build to Rare Spares Rockynats 02 as one of four elite unveils over the 2022 Easter long weekend, and boy did it deliver.
The covers were ripped off the car, revealing a monster streeter built to an elite show car finish. The striking custom paint job blends together a gorgeous purple-mahogany colour, which is complimented by a black and rose gold theme throughout the car. Up the front the engine bay is a real show piece, with plenty of custom fabrication work done to completely hide anything that could take your eyes off the 427ci Dart block LS engine that sits front and centre in the smoothed bay.
It’s not all for show either, as this stunning Torana has plenty of goodies to help push over 700 horsepower on pump 98. The car features a full dry sump system, Turbo 400 transmission with twin Precision turbos adding a touch of boost to this street weapon. We heard that the car has plenty more in it with a switch over to ethanol fuel and a tad more boost.
If unveiling the car at Queensland's premiere car show wasn’t enough, the car snatched up the last ticket into the Meguiar’s Superstars hall at MotorEx; an event that kicked off just two weeks after Rockynats, some 2000 kilometres away.
Just as it did in Rockhampton, the car was a mega hit at MotorEx in Melbourne. Parked up amongst Australia’s best, the LC Torana had fans lining up to check it out all weekend long.
We’ve heard from MotorEx chief judge Owen Webb that the "Superstars competition at MotorEx in 2023 is going to be huge, with a few surprises from years gone by potentially making a return to the show". He wouldn’t give too much more away, but said we can expect some major announcements after Summernats in January.
All we know is we’ll be there in Melbourne checking out Australia’s very best rides on show at MotorEx in 2023. ‘Cya there!
