Fast Lane Speed Shop’s Daniel Cassar has turned his last 31 years of passion into a lifestyle. His early memory of watching the movie ‘Hot Rod’ has instilled his love for drag racing and building Hot Rods. And the rest is history.

Daniel has a talent that runs through the family, working along side his brother hand crafting new panels from sheet metal. He can restore and or re-design just about anything.

This coming June at the 21st Meguiar’s MotorEx we will see Daniel’s Holden LH Torana taking pride of place under one of our unveil sheets. Daniel bought this Torana six years ago to use as a drag car to have some fun with one of his insane engines.

Daniel quickly realised it was a genuine SL/R 5000 in an extremely rare colour. This four-door street machine was so well preserved that Daniel help but restore it - you have to see the attention to detail on this beauty!

Also on show at MotorEx will be Daniel’s first ever Drag Challenge car, a 1932 Ford coupe that took out two events - before transforming it into the stunning hot rod you’ll see at this year’s MotorEx show.

Having two different styles of builds on show at MotorEx from Fast Lane Speed Shop is great for everyone to see the versatility within Daniel’s Ballarat shop.
