Video: World's Fastest Motorsport Team Boss, Peter Xiberras

With the latest Burson Auto Parts Top Fuel Australia season well underway and the 2023 Supercars season just kicking off w thought it’d be a good opportunity to drop in and have a chat with ‘the world’s fastest motorsport boss’, Peter Xiberras.

As Supercars team owner and boss of PremiAir Hire Racing (now also known as Nulon Racing) Peter is by far the fastest man on Supercars pit lane. Lots of team bosses in motorsport are former racers themselves, or even love to hit the track in certain categories, but few go 500km/h race after race on every other weekend and sometimes as a result take out national championships. Yep, that’s right, Peter Xiberras, Nulon Racing team boss was the Burson Top Fuel Championship Stan Sainty Cup winner in 2022.

The Thrifty Newcastle 500 arrived to kick off the season, and Pete couldn’t be more excited. While the team itself is quite new, you’d never know to watch from afar. Over the weekend (and after our chat) the team and their Chevrolet Camaro Gen3 race cars picked up a number of top 10 spots in qualifying and had their best race finishes as a team to date.

The drivers, James Golding and Tim Slade, both have loads of racing experience within Supercars and also outside categories - Golding quite often also races in S5000 and Slade has won World Time Attack Challenge on two occasions. There’s no doubting these guys are fast and will only get faster as the year progresses.

Pete told us that tasting champagne is a must for the 2023 Supercars season. And it’s fair to say that both cars look super impressive uniformly draped in Nulon livery - there’s always something very pro about a two-car team that shares the same look throughout.

So rather than tell you more about what Pete thinks about being the fastest team boss in the world, what he thinks of the new Gen3 Supercars, the 2023 Supercars season or about finishing off the Top Fuel season strong, check out the video and hear it direct from the man himself. And be sure to throw your support at PremiAir Hire Racing / Nulon Racing over the 2023 season!
