What an absolute explosion of great cars Summernats 35 produced. Everyone could see the standard from street to elite has really risen in the last few years. The Megiuar’s Elite Pavilion this year showcased 24 brand-new unveils surrounded by the show circuit’s finest. Amongst them there could only be one winner, one Summernats Grand Champion.
In the end the winner was Livij Krevatin with his Porsche 911 SC built by the skilled team at Real Steel Group. This Porsche is no stranger to winning elite trophies, unveiling at Megiuar’s MotorEx last year, taking out three first place awards and two seconds and Top Street Machine of 2022!
Nearly every part of this build is designed and engineered to perform at a high-performance level. From the clay modelling, to the scanned and 3D printed air ducting, to the custom adjustable front and rear suspension with (seriously serious) brake upgrade and custom billet dual master cylinder.
The fact some would see this as an almost ‘standard’ build speaks volumes to how much time went into the execution of this extreme Porsche. Even the front and rear bars are one-off, hand crafted.
Livij’s Porsche 911 took home a Top 10 spot, second in Top Standard Paint and second in Top Tudor. And man, didn’t he drive the wheels off it in the driving parts of Grand Champion.
Along-side of twelve other deserving contenders whom also judged well it really came down to the driving events, with Livij coming second in go-to-whoa and first in slalom by a long shot - this instilled his clear victory.
This Porsche was an unsuspecting and very worthy winner of the Chic Henry Sword, passed over this year by Chic Henry’s granddaughter, Lauren. Livij’s Porsche just shows that when you build a great elite level car that wins in its categories and performs even better, you can take out that all mighty sword!
Stay tuned for a full feature on this car and the Real Steel Group in the near future.
