Elite Show Cars Fight For Top 10 At Summernats 35

Summernats 35 Top 10 showcases impressive customised vehicles, with award-winning designs and innovative engineering, generating excitement for Summernats 36.

No one is surprised to see that this year’s cars in the Top 60 were next level. This made the fight for the Top 10 fierce. Here are the Elite Top 10 for Summernats 35.

RICKY ABSOLOM, FORD ROADSTER - The only hot rod to make the cut was Ricky Absolom’s stunning two toned Galaxy Grey and tangerine 1932 Ford Roadster, which really stood out with some eye-popping graphics throughout the build. The last three years Ricky has been re-doing the entire car with a but in particular that stunning undercarriage, taking out a handful of awards: second in Undercarriage/Driveline, Top Open Hot Rod, Top 10 and prestigious Megiuar’s Superstars invite.

PETER LEWIS, FORD XC FALCON - Peter Lewis’s 1977 Boss Nine-powered Ford XC Falcon is a work of art, impressing not only the judges but was voted People’s Choice. It also took out a long string of awards, including Top Interior, Top Pro Touring, second in Special Effects Paint, Top 10, third in Undercarriage/Driveline, third in Body, and the one everyone wants, a Meguair’s Superstars invite.

MIKE DAVIDSON, CHEVROLET BEL AIR COUPE - Sitting front and centre stage was Mike Davison’s 1954 Chevy Bel Air Coupe, looking amazing with its deep yet vibrant blue moon candy with pearl white roof. There are so many amazing features on this build, but those wheels just suit that chevy to a tee. He walked away with third in Top Interior, Top 10 and a Megiuar’s Superstars invite.

FRANK DARMANIN, HOLDEN VH COMMODORE - Frank Darmanin’s VH SLE Commodore was a sight to behold. Straight away you see that epic PPG blue bonnet that not many can pick but is made using the original skin, - the lines are kept exactly where they need to be, not loosing that amazing VH styling. Walking away with Top Sedan, Top 10 and making the final three in the Grand Champion events.

MATT MCINTOSH, HOLDEN HQ STATESMAN - If you didn’t get to see Matt McIntosh’s Holden HQ Statesman then you need to find it at a show and spend time checking it out. This build won Top Judged and it deserved it in every way. Both the exterior of the car and underneath are mind blowing. It also won Top Undercarriage/Driveline, Top Engine Bay, Top Engineered, Top Pro Custom, Top Bodywork, a Red CentreNATS Invite and also the very special Megiuar’s Superstars Invite.

CRAIG MCKENZIE, HOLDEN HR UTE - One of the best utes at Summernats was Craig McKenzie’s fresh white Holden HR Ute. This is a masterpiece! Fully changing the look of the HR from its previous show days, Craig has chosen a tough look that absolutely everyone loved! Taking out second in Top Bodywork, Top 10 and an invite to Red CentreNATS.

BRETT HEWERDINE, FORD COUPE - Brett Hewerdine’s 1949 Red Ford Coupe put jaws on the floor. The stunning candy was a sight to behold, and the interior is amazing. It’s no wonder Brett took out third in Top Interior, Top 10 and got himself a Megiuar’s Superstars invite.

LUKE MITCHELL, HOLDEN LJ TORANA - All show and all go, Luke Mitchell took his Holden LJ Torana from the elite hall to the Grand Champ events and didn’t he drive the wheels off it. Making the magnificent seven overall and also taking away second in Engine Bay, Top Standard Paint, Top Tudor and Top 10.

JASON SANDNER, HOLDEN LH TORANA - Jason Sandner’s baby blue Holden Torana SL/R has the right amount of everything; tough, classic and plenty of wow factor. From top to bottom Jason has executed this build consistently and looks just as fresh as the day it was done. His awards were third in Standard Paint, second in Top Sedan and Top 10.

LIVIJ KREVATIN, PORSCHE 911 SC - Where do we being with Livij Krevatin’s 1978 Porsche 911 SC, this car is next level impressive and built to drive at high-performance level. Every part of this Porsche has been designed, engineered and finished off to the highest standard by Real Steel Group. The suspension is fully adjustable front and rear, it features a smoothed engine bay and undercarriage, a heavily modified engine complete with a machined billet wing and grill, as well as hundreds of other parts throughout the entire car. Other than taking out Grand Champion and winning the Chic Henry Sword, Livij took home second Top Standard Paint, Top 10, and second in Top Tudor.
