Five Hot New Products In The MotorEx Milwaukee Performance Garage

The Milwaukee Performance Garage exhibitor hall at MotorEx 2023 is an automotive aftermarket mecca, with vendors from all over Australia and the globe bringing their best-selling go-fast bits, as well as using the event to debut exciting new parts to the thousands of enthusiasts who’ll flock through the hall over the weekend.

We’ve got the scoop on five exciting products that you can’t afford to miss!

Haltech Nexus R3

Haltech’s Nexus platform was a seismic leap forward in capability for the Australian manufacturer, and was the most powerful and capable ECU they’d ever produced. In fact, simply calling it an ECU undersells its functionality - the Nexus platform doesn’t just provide engine management, it has a built in Power Distribution Module (PDM), as well as data-logging and wideband. The team have rightly dubbed it a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). The Nexus family has expanded to feature the flagship R5 model’s new younger brother, the R3.

Turbosmart Straight Gate

Serial innovation artists Turbosmart have done it again! They’ve staked their reputation on being first to the market with extremely forward-thinking products, and their Straight Gate line of external wastegates is no exception. Built to maximise flow in applications where space is tight, the Straight Gate 50 is an inline wastegate - the first of its kind in the world, and the world’s highest flowing wastegate! The most innovative model in the Straight Gate range features an electronic solenoid in place of a vacuum-operated diaphragm, and boasts in-built pressure and temperature sensors; however conventional pneumatic versions of the Straight Gate are available, too.

MPI Steering Wheels

Racer Industries have got an exciting product that you’ll quite literally need to get your hands on! They’re bringing the world-famous MPI Steering Wheels to Australia, and as well as being devilishly handsome, these wheels have a wide array of applications from circuit racing to drag racing, and even tough street cars. They’re made from the highest quality components in Italy, are super lightweight and are available in a range of styles to suit just about any build.

Aeroflow Boosted 7682 Turbo

Aeroflow’s range of Boosted turbochargers continues to grow, and the team are using MotorEx ‘23 to shine a light on their brand new Boosted 7682 ‘charger. It’s an innovative new turbo for the team, with the relatively small frame capable of up to 1,500 flywheel horsepower! Its huge power potential and smaller packaging size make it suitable for a long list of applications, from highly-strung small capacity engines, rotaries and even heavy-breathing boosted V8s. Like the rest of the Aeroflow Boosted range, the 7682 features billet compressor wheels and is available in several different finishes to suit your build. You’ll see it’s public debut at the event, strapped to the size of an LS1 V8 using an Aeroflow turbo kit.

Repco-Brabham BT19 F1 Race Car

OK so technically this iconic piece of F1 history isn’t for sale, but where else will you see the 1966 Championship-winning car in the flesh? This car’s seat at the table of Australian motorsport legends is well-earned, and the story behind how Repco teamed up with Sir Jack Brabham to put Aussie engineering on the world stage is a rabbit hole we could tumble down forever!

If you’re heading to the event and want to chat with a particular brand about products for your project, double check they’ll be in attendance by checking out our Exhibitor List HERE.
