Classic Racer E36 Debuts At Tokyo Autosalon

Boosted and bagged Bimmer chocked full of JDM tuner parts!

Debuting at the recent Tokyo Autosalon, Moontech’s nostalgia-laden BMW E36 ticks all our boxes. From it’s timeless dark green paint to the Live To Offend wide body kit - unashamedly inspired by the M3 race cars of the mid-90s - it’s got us pining for a time before social media, where we lived out our automotive fantasies tweaking the cars in our digital garage on Gran Turismo 2!

Moontech collaborated with one of the most famous names in the JDM aftermarket Trust/GReddy, which explains the plethora of GReddy go-fast bits hanging off the hotted up S50 straight-six engine.

It’s been boosted by way of a turbocharger that feeds a custom plenum and the six-throttle body set up. Odds are it makes a hell of a racket!

The aggressive stance is thanks to air suspension, while huge 18x10 inch (front) and 18x13.5 inch (rear) Neutrale wheels in Toyo tyres were chosen to fill out the cavernous LTO widebody guards.

Inside is a custom trimmed cabin that we could either take or leave. The green and orange suede colour scheme is sure to set chins wagging, but given its retro racer styling pouring from every other crevice of the build, we can’t help but wonder if a simple black and gray alcantara cabin would have fit the bill.
