World's Fastest 4 Heads South

Some exciting news for Sport Compact drag racing fans has just been announced, Sydney's Domenic Rigoli from TRP has purchased Brett Rau's six-second Magnus Motorsport Mitsubishi Eclipse from the USA.

From all reports the insane 4G63-powered beast has been bought complete as a turn key package and will soon be on its way to our shores.

Having run a PB of 6.8 @ 202mph the car has held the record for the World's quickest modified 4 cylinder car for some six years and produces in excess of 1400hp.

As you can see in the photo up the top, Dom (on the left) is understandably pretty darn happy with his purchase and we're sure he is looking forward to getting the car home and thrashing it down the Sydney Dragway strip real soon.

I don't know about you guys but I am seriously looking forward to the Queensland Jamboree in September. Something tells me the old four-bangers are going to make some big noise this year so the 2JZs and 20Bs better bring their A-game!
