SYDNEY MOTORSPORT FANS, YOU’VE GOT PLANS THIS WEEKEND!

Regardless of what you’ve got penned in your calendar for this weekend, cancel it! Sydney
Dragway is playing host to the largest ever, nitro-burning drag event since the venue was built,
and it’s shaping up to be a cracker!

The Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs are a regular fixture on the Sydney Dragway calendar; however the 2024 running has been revamped into a festival atmosphere, promising a nonstop family friendly event with plenty more to see and do than just the fastest, most explosive cars in the Australian drag racing scene.

As well as live music and Matt Hall’s amazing Red Bull Air Race plane doing demos over the track all weekend, the racing itself is the real star of the show and it’s the kind of drag racing event that Sydney has been starved of for too long.

Six heavy hitting Nitro Funny Cars and six mind-blowing Top Fueler dragsters are the headline
acts, and they’ll be bringing a huge number of passes to the drag strip on Saturday and Sunday.
These 11,000hp nitro-burning beasts are ably supported by a heap of epic Group One and
Sportsman categories, meaning there’ll always be some world class action to keep an eye on
throughout the day.

To keep punters on the edge of their seats, the event counts for two full points rounds for Top
Fuel, which will make the racing that much more competitive, as teams duke it out for coveted
championship points.

Family tickets start from as little as $130 a day, meaning this not-to-be-missed motorsport
