Shane's Time-Attack Weapon

One of the most well-known cars in Aussie time attack, Shane Standley gives us a look at his 367rwkW JZA80, and it's a fine piece of work. What started as a bolt-on streeter is now a dedicated racer full of interesting fab and engineering. He begged his missues on their wedding day to buy this car, which, of course, was a very smart move. It’s been a steady build-up since.

The idea was to prove that Supras aren’t ‘boats’ given they have a rep for not being the most amazing vehicles in terms of handling. Track was never the plan, but after a fateful day at Wakefield, that changed fast.

These days the Supra’s running a Garrett GT35R on the 2JZ-GTE for 367rwkW, but development continues. Suffice to say, we can’t wait to see the car back out at the World Time Attack Challenge later this year.

Without the stickers and the wing, Shane actually says it’s pretty streetable, though given its current appearance it does seem to attract attention.
