Ryan Tuerck's Toyota Stout Is The Pickup Truck We All Want

Ryan Tuerck is a name synonymous with some of the most wild builds on the planet, and could frankly write the handbook for following your dreams and building some of the most ridiculous cars on the planet. His Toyota Stout has to be one of my favourites.

The name Ryan Tuerck rings synonymous with jaw-dropping and simply wild automotive feats. A tyre destroying mad-man behind the wheel in the wonderful world of Formula Drift, Tuerck is more than just a professional driver who thrills audiences with his sideways antics. His off-season endeavors are perhaps even more wild, showing off and building some of the most talked about cars on the planet.

One cannot talk about Tuerck without mentioning the iconic 4586, the wild fusion of a Ferrari 458 V8 engine seamlessly integrated into a Toyota 86. This madcap invention alone garnered nearly 70 million impressions on social media since its 2016 debut. Then, in a bid to outdo himself, he breathed life into a Toyota Supra with a monstrous Judd V8 Formula 1 engine. Both masterpieces not just turned heads but completely obliterated any preconceived notions of car builds.

One of my absolute favourites however, is his epic 1966 Toyota Stout. This compact, body-on-frame vehicle was originally designed as a modest parts carrier with a humble 86 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. However, in typical Tuerck fashion, this Toyota Stout is far from ordinary.

Contrary to what one might expect, especially given his penchant for powerful engines like the Ferrari V8 and Judd V10, Tuerck opted to stay true to Toyota with a 4-cylinder heart. Furnished by PSI Racing, the vehicle features a unique 5S/3S combination – a melding of a 5S block, 3S crank, and the first-generation 3SGE head. While the engine specifics are still a work-in-progress, there's already buzz. All of this is aimed at boosting the engine to a staggering 600 horsepower.

Throw in some typical Tuerck styling and some wild body modifications, you end up with a pickup truck that I think we'd all just love to have. Ryan just uploaded a new video on the 'Yota, so if you've never seen it before go check it out!
