For most custom car builders bringing one elite build to a show is plenty, but brothers Mike and Jim Ring turned it up a notch this year and decided to bring four all-new cars to be unveiled at the Las Vegas Convention Centre for the 2022 SEMA Show.
Their most talked about build, dubbed ’ENYO’ won the 2022 Battle of the Builders award after its unveil on Tuesday. What was once an unassuming 1948 Chevrolet Pickup was then chucked in a blender with a modern day Formula 1 car and out came this wild green mini truck with a stack of custom one off carbon fibre aero parts, a huge rear diffuser and a mega 1000-horsepower big-block Marine racing engine. This ‘40s work-truck-meets-F1 racer was an instant crowd favourite at the show.
If F1 inspired pickup trucks aren’t your thing, then maybe a 1200 horsepower 1972 K5 Blazer would be. ‘BULLY’ is equipped with a supercharged LS3, triangulated four-link suspension with off-road racing coilovers and a fully custom bespoke interior. It’s a one of a kind off-roader with some seriously incredible engineering.
A more classic approach might be Ringbrothers ‘STRODE’ - a 1969 Chevy Camaro. This Camaro is far more than meets the eye with a widened, fully carbon-clad body and an extended wheelbase which gives off a super aggressive stance. Packing another supercharged LS3 motor making 1000 horsepower backs up the killer Camaro’s tough looks.
Finally, Ringbrothers brought ‘PATRIARC’ their 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. "The Mustang Mach 1 has always been an aggressive-looking car, and we wanted to add to those classic good looks with subtle but critical changes," added Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring. "Over 5000 hours went into building PATRIAC and perfecting the aesthetics.” These aesthetics are backed up by a Ford Performance Aluminator 5.2 XS engine producing 580 horsepower which is paired up with a six-speed manual transmission.
Which of these amazing builds would you have parked up in your garage?
