To enter your vehicle in the Red CentreNATS 09 event, follow these steps:

• Complete the online entry form (you can save as you go).
• Submit and pay for your entry.

Burnouts

The Burnouts is a fan-favourite event at Red CentreNATS. Drivers create a frenzy of smoke by spinning their wheels for at least a full minute on the Burnout Pad at Alice Springs Inland Dragway.

Drag Racing

Red CentreNATS features two exhilarating drag racing competitions at the Alice Springs Inland Dragway (ASID). Seasoned and novice racers alike take on the infamous quarter-mile track during these events. Racers can compete in the Grudge Runs without any competition pressure, or participate in various competition formats during the Drag Racing Competition.

Heavy Hitters Drag Racing

The Heavy Hitters Drag Racing is a high-stakes drag racing competition with big prize money up for grabs. This next-level drag racing event is divided into several qualifying runs, and participants race 'heads-up' for the win.

Show and Shine

The Shannons Show N Shine is an event where participants display their meticulously maintained and creatively designed vehicles. It takes place over the duration of the Red CentreNATS and is a showcase of car enthusiasts' passion, time, and money invested into their pride and joy.

Street Parade

The Yeperenye Shopping Centre Street Parade is Australia's largest street parade of its kind. A convoy of cars and bikes cruises through Alice Springs Town Centre on Saturday afternoon. This parade features a wide variety of vehicles and attracts thousands of spectators.

Motovation Super Cruise

During the Motovation Super Cruise, Red CentreNATS entrants head to the drag strip and burnout pad at Alice Springs Inland Dragway. This event allows entrants to experience the thrill of driving at high speeds without the competitive pressure of racing or burnouts.

Scrutineering

Scrutineering takes place at Lasseters Centre of Entertainment and is an opportunity for event-goers to preview the diverse vehicles participating in Red CentreNATS. During scrutineering, cars are checked for safety, entry worthiness, and eligibility to compete.

Grass Driving Competition

The Grass Driving competition invites all entrants to test their driving skills across several different courses at Blatherskite Park. Participants navigate through helter-skelters, twists, turns and more. This event tests the horsepower of your vehicle and your abilities as a driver.

Great Northern 4WD Track

Here you get a chance to prove the capabilities of your 4WD rig. You will need to tackle off-road tracks filled with obstacles, log hops and barriers at Blatherskite Park. There are awards to be won, so give it your best shot.

Tarmac Motorkhana

In this event, you must manoeuvre your way through a tight, short course without incurring any penalties. This adrenaline-packed course will ensure you are pushed to the limit, while the crowd is kept highly entertained.

Temporary Permits

For vehicles that are not street legal, the NT Government provides the opportunity to apply for Temporary Registration Permits to use Red CentreNATS road cruise routes around Alice Springs over the weekend.

Event Regulations

Red CentreNATS operates under the safety and competition regulations of Motorsport Australia and ANDRA. Entrants wishing to take part in the event must comply with these regulations. Any vehicles found to be unsafe during scrutineering will not be allowed to participate.
