New Garage Active Carbon-R GT-R at SEMA 2023

Carbon fibre wide bodied GT-R goodness featuring parts made down under!

Legendary Japanese tuner Sakamoto from Garage Active has brought out a stunning brand new Carbon-R at this years SEMA show in collaboration with the iconic Japanese performance house at GReddy Performance.

The Garage Active R32 features the iconic Carbon-R wide kit that has broken the net many times over, this time dipped in a gorgeous blue paint job and tucking some huge custom three-piece wheels. Inside, Sakamoto-san has reimagined the GT-R's cabin in a stunning tan leather, while also keeping plenty of dry-carbon throughout to continue with the aggressive track style. The original seats have made way for carbon fibre Recaro Pro Racer RMS beauties, enhanced with SS Active custom padding, while a leather GReddy steering wheel sits front and centre.

Under the bonnet the GReddy team have bolted together a top of the range 2.8-litre RB that's had GReddy's catalog thrown at it. It all came together within just a few short weeks of unveiled the car at SEMA, and started life thanks to a Nismo Heritage Program RB26 long block.

The RB28 has seen top-of the line GReddy HD forged pistons, billet X-beam rods with ARP hardware, and a custom-spec billet crankshaft. The top end features GReddy's billet G2 cams, lifters, valves, and valve springs. Last but not least, boost comes in the form of GReddy's GP78R turbo, capable of upwards of 1400 horsepower. You'll also find a few Aussie made parts on board thanks to the legends at Platinum Racing Products (PRP).

Our mates (and all round GT-R wizards) at MotiveDVD caught up with Sakamoto-san and the team at Greddy for a chat about this epic R32, so check it out below!
