Immaculate Street KE30

Immaculate Street KE30

Normally in the modified car community you can easily divide the real show stoppers into two categories; the trailer queens and the ones that actually get driven.

The clinching factor between these two camps is the undercarriage, with detailed diffs and the like usually reserved for cars that only move under their own power when mounting or dismounting a trailer. Martin Kolderie happily sits on the fence between these two camps, caning his immaculate KE30 Corolla every chance he gets.

Take a look underneath the tidy little 'Rolla and the unbelievable detail that characterises its exterior continues seamlessly to the undercarriage. A smoothed and shortened R31 diff coated in Spies Hecker Ford Focus orange like the rest of the car acts as a centrepiece in a sea of stainless steel that is clean enough not only to eat a meal off, but to lick the plate after and ask for seconds.

Everywhere you look on this car you find levels of detail where others would have just used standard parts. I mean, look at that grill! The original grills were removed to leave only the carbon fibre-wrapped frame, showing off the large front mount intercooler. If that wasn't cool enough, Martin also incorporated hidden water jets for the intercooler to keep intake temps down.

Moving behind the grill, even the engine bay has been shaved and detailed within an inch of its life! The S14 SR20DET looks as if it was fitted from the factory but it's not just there for looks, churning out a respectable 230rwkw.

Even the interior is impeccably groomed, with tan leather, a thumping sound system and Autometer gauges making for a nice environment. The S14 dash salvaged from the half cut is a nice touch as well.

Martin is an avid member of the RadRollaz crew and after giving this thing a look over, you can see how the club got it's name. To hear the story behind, in my opinion, the cleanest street driven Corolla out there check out issue 218 of Hot4s on shelves now. You can't miss it, it's on the cover.
