Harrop's Hurricane

Harrop's Hurricane

Harrop's original Hurricane individual throttle body intake manifold was a smash hit in the Commodore community, with the drastically improved breathing capabilities waking the beast within even the tamest LS. When Harrop began development on their new line of ITBs however, the old line was removed from shelves and over the past few years, enthusiasts have been unable to get their hands on this piece of engineering excellence.

Last last year however, the new Hurricane manifolds hit the market and although it doesn't seem possible, they are even more impressive than the last. Made specifically for the LS3/7, these manifolds are a must have for anyone serious about chasing big figures in N/A performance. Don't just take our word for it though, check out this video of Harrop's Engineering Manager Clayton Stairmand's Hurricane-equipped VE putting all 682hp to good use.

As with all Harrop products, the production quality is extremely high. Countless durability tests have been carried out on the new Hurricane manifold but our favourite would have to be the bench test shown in the video below. By using the race data collected by a Motec M800 the guys at Harrop have managed to put the ITBs through the vigours of racing, subjecting it to a simulated 1880 laps of Bathurst over 72 hours of racing! If the below video doesn't convince you of their quality, we don't know what will.
