Matthew brought his incredible 1971 Datsun 1200 Ute 'ITLFLI' to Meguiar's MotorEx as just one of over 30 unveil cars earlier in the year. Matt has owned the car since he was just 16 years old, and after 10 years of hard work it's reached an incredibly high standard. This year's Meguiar's MotorEx hosted a stack of top level rides, but this tiny Japanese ute (packing a whopping 1000hp SR20DET) was a clear crowd favourite.
With its low stance, dished Simmons, and the mega 1000hp SR20DET motor from the crew at Advanced motor Mechanics, this Datto is a show and go monster that'll snap necks wherever it goes.
The car is built to an elite-standard, but the intention of the build was never to just use it as a show piece. Matt is ready to get this thing out and about, with a bunch of track days lined up and in the works.
"The whole thing was a challenge, just even fitting that into the engine bay - you can see it's all been cut out. It's full engineered, fully registered, so, I'm gonna use it. That's the plan." Matthew said.
