Western Australia Hot Rod & Street Machine Extravaganza (video)

After a two-year hiatus the WA Hot Rod was back in style! This year marks the 24th annual meet with two days of stunning West Coast sunshine that brought all sorts of automotive gems out from hiding, bringing out the big guns with special guest appearance from Mr Steve Bisley himself, along with The Miss Koolsville and West Coast Hot Rod Marven ladies.

Alongside the West Aussie entrants there were a few amazing interstate talents joining the party, producing a high-level of competitive vehicles for the judges and attendees. It’s a huge effort to display these cars around the country, everyone showing up and supporting makes all the difference. An amazing outcome for all with a share of awards going to both WA and interstate entrants, so many outstanding cars and bikes on display.

Standing out from the crowd there were a few unveils. We couldn’t go past Lloyd Taylor’s Monaro, Stewart Parris’ ’55 Chevy, Eric French’s ’32 hot rod and Noddy’s candy HQ ‘BLOWN2DR’ Monaro. Three of which received The Meguiars’ Superstars invitation to MotorEx, alongside Bob Briggs with his beautiful hot rod. Brian Imlach’s display of his ’34 Chevy created a lot of hype - and is already an invitee from last week’s round in Adelaide!
