Six rotors for one motor. It sounds crazy but it's true. When this motor was first being teased by PPRE in New Zealand, we had no idea what to make of it. Was it really going to work? Was it even going to end up in a car? How on earth would it sound? Well all of those questions have now been answered.

Not only does it work, it is indeed in the front end of a car. A mint RX-4 coupe, to be precise. It's by far one of the most impressive and outright incredible builds, not just within the rotary scene.

As you might assume, this is the first of its kind worldwide, so it's garnered just a little bit of international attention. Here's an except above of a spotlight on the project in Japanese magazine, Option.

At this stage it is still untuned and the car is yet to make a pass down the dragstrip or record any figures on a dyno - but all those things will come in time. What you really want to know is what this thing sounds like, and the answer is mind-blowing.

There is still more to come from this build as they start to extract all the power this combo has to offer and ultimately, see what it can do down the strip.

Keep an eye on things via the PPRE Facebook page and their website.
