VIDEO: Mick Hinchy's Blown LS Burnout Car CL1KB8

Hinchy's CL1KB8 burnout car almost never happened. The car he was actually building was in a huge accident, writing off the car, the tow vehicle and the trailer. Fast forward a few years and he's spent many hours on the new car (more to that in the video below) and fixing it up to bring you what you see today.

The engine in CL1KB8 is a 6/71 blown methanol iron LS, backed by an automatic transmission and a nine-inch diff. It's not a complicated combo, but it works well and allows this once passenger vehicle to smash tyres on some of the country's best burnout pads.

In this video we chat with Hinchy about his love for Summernats, how he was involved with the event as a youngster, and also what inspired him to build CL1KB8.

Hinchy says that the future of the wagon might see it get a big block, as well as a few more colour changes and new 22-inch wheels. The burnout scene is loaded with plenty of bright and loud rides and CL1KB8 is certainly one that stands out.
