In his seventeen years around the traps, Phil Kerjean has left a lasting impression on the modified car scene.
He built himself a tough, nitrous-assisted Commodore wagon and blew the tyres of it at events like Summernats, then caught the drag racing bug building himself a nitrous, small block HB Torana.
That didn’t end so well, so it was back to the Commodore which has been rebuilt twice in the last five or so years, most recently with its two-tone paint job and goliath, 400+ cube small block Chev’ combo.
The car has been featured no less than three times in Street Commodores Magazine (among other nationally-circulating publications), and it’s with Street Commodores that Phil has found a regular home, writing a monthly column sharing his view on the modified car scene at large and his experiences as he builds, maintains and competes in the TUFFST wagon.
In that time he also managed to start his own business, Fuelworx, plumbing high end and custom fuel system solutions for just about any performance application.
Oh, and he’s been inducted as a Burnout Master and won hordes of trophies with the wagon along the way, too.
He’s travelled all around the country with his wagon, lighting up burnout pads and collecting novelty, oversized cheques for winning burnout comps across the land.
If he’s not working on his own cars he’s working on his mates or customers cars. It’s fair to say that Phil is the ultimate car guy, so we stuck a camera in his face and got him to show us around a day in the life of Phil Kerjean.
Check out the video below for a little look at what an afternoon at Fuelworx is like. No wonder this bloke has such a great reputation.
