Top Gear SYD - Supercars

Supercar Showcase at Top Gear Festival Sydney wows with exotic hardware on display, including Lamborghinis, McLarens, and a flame-shooting Koenigsegg CCR.
Top Gear SYD - Supercars

The Supercar Showcase put all of the droolworthy exotic hardware on display on-track all at once. It was a highlight for many with millions of dollars worth of machinery everywhere you looked.

Usually reserved for private garages and the occasional early-morning cruise, there was no missing this super-bright Aventador or the noise from its iPE exhaust.

If you're going to have a Lambo, why not make it your own by customising it? We're not sold on the green highlights but it certainly is different.

Ramspeed took to their Lamborghini 'Heffner style' (the turbo kit, not the Playboy chief).

The noise from the Zonda makes you want to tailgate it. Good luck with that.

Speaking of sweet, sweet sounds, is there a better sounding Japanese supercar?

England is again becoming a player in the super-car world with the MP4-12C seen here leading a pack of Italians.

McLaren took the opportunity to launch their brand new 650S at the event, only the second time the car has been seen in the flesh outside of its debut in Geneva two days prior.

This is the loan vehicle when your Batmobile is in for an oil change.

Wait, is that a Mustang? Is it lost?

LFA for the noise, 12C for the turbo V8 rush, either of the Ferraris for the look. What about you?

Erebus Motorsport were there to represent with their SLS GT3 and V8 Supercar together with their drivers, Wil Davison and Lee Holdsworth.

Wil and Lee swapped cars during the speed demonstration and commented that it was difficult to change between them due to the GT3 car's driver aids.

The fastest cars of years gone by were well represented too

How much for this lot? If you have to ask...

NSW Police were in attendance and obviously thought it would be better to bring their weekend car instead of the Holden or Ford daily drivers.

A custom, flame-shooting Koenigsegg CCR? Why not.
