Allen Millyard was not one to settle for mere showmanship. He embarked on a bold venture to craft a fully functional motorcycle around the Viper's engine. This audacious creation shattered expectations by not only being massive and thunderous but also capable of carrying passengers at astonishing speeds surpassing 300km/h.
Millyard recently reached 189mph with a passenger - yep, imagine being on the back of a motorcycle doing over 300km/h. This historic feat, accomplished alongside his daring passenger Henry Cole, unfolded during the adrenaline-pumping UK & ITA International Speed Week at Elvington Airfield.
To claim the record, the pair harnessed the full 1.25-mile stretch of the runway, a true testament to Millyard's unmatched expertise. In an interview with MCN, he shared the challenges he confronted:
"Picture me astride a 600kg homemade bike, its raw power unencumbered by any fairing," Millyard fondly recalled. “And then, with undaunted resolve, I had a fearless companion riding pillion, akin to a topbox brimming with cement. Cautiously, I pushed the boundaries, accelerating faster with every heartbeat."
At first glance, a 600kg motorcycle may not exude swiftness, but appearances can be deceiving. Offer the Viper motor ample space to stretch its mechanical limbs, and its unparalleled torque (at least on a motorcycle) can dust a car in one swift throttle turn.
