Here at Performance Garage we love both tough streeters and flawless replicas so when you mix the two, you will certainly get our attention!
Blending extremely detailed features from the VH and VK HDT Group 3s with an 850hp blown 383ci stroker and a super low static stance, ‘GP3 SS’ is a perfectly concocted street car.
Touches like the wind splitters on the front guards, Alpine White paintwork and genuine HDT Group 3 body kit offer a hat tip to Brocky’s brilliance.
The genuine HDT Group 3 interior is a welcome change from the usual over-the-top show-spec interiors that have become so common these days. Plonking yourself down in the plush Scheel seats you really appreciate the clean look that this choice of interior provides and bar the blower and small selection of Autometer gauges, you would be forgiven for thinking it’s the real thing!
Without these features though, it wouldn’t be quite as awesome as it is and the bonnet-breaching 6/71 blower courtesy of The Blower Shop is a feature we reckon they should have had from the factory!
Attached to the primarily C.O.M.E. Racing-based stroker that began life as a VS 304ci, the supercharger provides just 7psi of boost but considering that it cranks out 850hp and 716lb/ft at the flywheel, we reckon that’s all it needs.
A pair of massive 20x13 MHT Forged LLC wheels wrapped in 345/30 tyres have the task of trying to get this power to the ground although something tells us that traction isn’t really the goal here.
To fit these and achieve a seriously slammed stance is no small feat, with Matt from Mr Enforcer carrying out some serious suspension work to get it as low as it is without airbags. Huge tubs, a raised boot floor and custom built coilovers are just a few of the features that allow the VK to sit so low and still drive nicely.
This brilliant blend of replica and radical street car is something that we absolutely love but we want to hear your thoughts. Let us know in the comments below.
