Rev Up for Red CentreNATS 09!

With just a few short months left, car enthusiasts from every corner of the country are gearing up to embark on an epic journey to Alice Springs for the 9th annual Red CentreNATS. We've got the scoop that the team are back and ready with an action-packed event with a bunch of new exciting program elements set to make more noise than ever. It's an event not to be missed and we’ve got some epic reasons why you need to make sure you’ve locked in your spot.

This year the Red CentreNATS crew is set to introduce a bit of west-Aussie flavour with Perth Motorvation's 'Super Cruise'. A WA favourite, we'll see entrants blow off some steam at Alice Springs Inland Dragway with a session of wild power-skids up and down the track and through the return road. It's the first time the 'Nats crew have taken this concept outside of WA - and we reckon it's going to be nuts.

There's a bunch of epic elite-level rides heading out to Alice for Red CentreNATS 09, with some top end award-winning builds from MotorEx and Summernats that will be showcased in the Elite Sheds at Blatherskite Park Showgrounds. 

Heading on outside, there are stacks of rides parked up in the showgrounds which makes for an epic display of chrome and colour in the heart of Australia. It's one of our favourite Show 'n' Shine areas to check out throughout the year, as you just don't know what to expect with plenty of variety on offer.

The action at Alice Springs Inland Dragway is set to run hot all weekend long. No matter what you drive, you can get yourself out on track and test out your pride and joy. There's grudge-run racing over the weekend so you can race against your friends, vying for ultimate bragging rights (cause who doesn't love g'ing up your mates). There's also the Heavy Hitter drags, with some top-end machinery blasting down the track.

Red CentreNATS is all about getting behind the wheel of your ride, and there's a stack of driving events all weekend long. Take on the tarmac Motorkhana, get down and dirty with the grass driving challenge, and test your off-road skills on the Great Northern 4WD track. Of course, we can't forget the burnout pad. If you're looking to blow some tyres on one of the biggest burnout stages in the country, Red CentreNATS is the place to do it.

Saving the best for last, prepare for a Saturday afternoon spectacle as the Yeperenye Shopping Centre Street Parade roars through the town centre. The entire town comes alive as everyone lines the streets, eagerly awaiting the hundreds of cars that cruise right through the middle of Alice.
