Pro Touring 1964 Ford XM Coupe (Video)

Previous Meguiar's MotorEx Grand Master Jack Zee was back at MotorEx with a brand new build from his crew at Johnny Z's Hot Rod and Custom Shop. Their latest creation; a gorgeous Pro Touring 1964 Ford Falcon XM Coupe was unveiled on the Saturday evening amongst a stack of other impressive rides on show.

The car belongs to customer Lynda Rowe but the overall design, colour scheme and build of the car was left in the trusty hands of Jack and his crew. The XM Falcon was in the build for close to three years, and while it wasn't ever intended to be an elite show car, the crew have gone on with extensive fabrication and body work that really sets this XM apart.

Its most striking feature is of course its colour scheme, with the exterior dipped in a custom Concept Paints 'pink mix' which is nicely accented with bits of chrome, purple and grey. Lynda had never actually seen the finished car until it was unveiled at MotorEx.

Speaking about Lynda's build, Jack said:

"She was a bit teary, a little overwhelmed and she couldn't take it all in the first time she saw it. Lynda has been coming back and forth checking out the car over the weekend, spotting all the little details we've put in. It's safe to say she really loves the car and we're stoked that she does."

The XM is powered by an injected 351ci Ford Windsor (with three pedals!) giving it plenty of grunt for street duties. The entire car features completely overhauled and modified suspension which was done to really make this '64 model feel like a modern car.
