Oz's Best A9X

Oz's Best A9X

Is this Australia’s best A9X Torana? We think so, and when you spend a few minutes going over the work that has gone into the car it is hard to argue as there is not a single component that has not been restored, replaced or replated to make this A9X an absolute work of art.

The cars owner Peter Apap has owned the car for quite  some time and for many years it was a clean original example of an A9X until Peter got the bug to transform it into Australia’s best A9X.

No matter where you look there has been no stoned left unturned and no expense spared to bring the A9X to better than new condition, whether you look inside, outside and even underneath you just cannot fault it.

A lot of people do not realise that the A9X actually came equipped with a standard 240hp 308ci V8 engine however Peter wanted his car to perform like the Group C Touring Car A9X Toranas did back in the day that Peter has fond memories of.

The original engine has been rebuilt to the specification just like the L34 powered A9X Toranas that were circulating Bathurst had fitted to them back in the day to return some excellent horsepower figures.

There is not a single nut, bolt, screw, washer or retaining clip that has been restored, replaced or replated in order to bring the car back to first class condition.

To get the full story on the amazing masterpiece look out for it in an upcoming issue of The Aussie Muscle Enthusiast on sale in May 2012 where you will really be able to appreciate the fine workmanship.
