Off Road Skills Put To The Test At Red CentreNATS 09

Ever wanted to test out your rig in an off-road challenge in a completely safe environment, well have we got something epic for you at Red CentreNATS 09!

This year there has been an overhaul on the Great Northern 4WD Track with seven new and revised course challenges, each one as fun as the next. Not only are the tracks cool as hell but there are new trophies up for grabs for those who take on the obstacles. The courses have been set up for all levels of drivers to achieve.

With a ‘come have a crack’ attitude that’s just what these three blokes have done, Jorden Hill, Keats Masters and Steve Burnie have taken the off road challenge section into their own hands.

Donating their own time and money into this event they have the passion and love for their sport, they want to inspire other drivers to come have some fun and get hooked on the 4WD madness.

Jordan says “anyone can do these courses, but we have a ‘chicken track’ as we like to call it. If you wanna take the easy option but we can help you nail the next level, for every chicken track taken the driver will be awarded one rubber chicken zip tied to their bumper for a bit of fun.”

The courses are made up of trenches, pipes, tyres, rocks and logs, which the lads have tested themselves. This year it’s mandatory to do the driver’s brief and track walk with a practice run on the Saturday, it’s the only way to run either the Saturday competition or the Sunday freestyle session.

Sunday is funday. This will be a photographer’s dream with the chance for some great action shots. The lads will be ready to help anyone wanting to give this a red-hot crack, so get your mates and come have some big kid fun.
