Nissan Skyline NISMO Commemorates 60th Anniversary of Skyline GT, Japan Only

Nissan has revealed the Skyline NISMO and Skyline NISMO Limited for Japan. The sedan will feature an engine tune by GT500 race engineers, tuned suspension and a host of exterior features.

The Skyline NISMO will be avaialbel to Japanese customers on in limited units (1000) this September. The exclusive Skyline NISMO Limited, just 100 units, will debut next summer.


Built on motorsports tech, by proper race engineers, the Skyline NISMO looks to blend the nameplate’s GT lineage and NISMO's aerodynamics and chassis prowess.


Skyline NISMO highlights:

  • Engine tuned by GT500 race engineers, pushing output from 298kW to 309kW with max torque up from 475Nm to 550Nm, ensuring potent acceleration.
  • Modes adjust engine response: standard for everyday drive, sport and sport+ for heightened RPMs and sharper response via NISMO-dedicated AT shift.
  • Performance tires balance grip, wider rear tires by 20mm optimise torque delivery. NISMO Enkei 19-inch aluminium wheels enhance responsiveness and cornering.

  • Tuned suspension, stabilisers reduce roll, sustain stability on uneven roads.
  • Brake pads with fade-resistant material, updated ABS for shorter braking. Vehicle dynamics control system matches stability enhancements.
  • GT-R NISMO adhesive tech boosts body rigidity.

  • Distinct NISMO exterior features: custom bumpers, side sill covers, fog lamps, NISMO logo, aerodynamic mouldings improve stability and drag.
  • Cabin mirrors 400R model quality, black tones set driving ambiance. Steering wheel, 280kph speedometer, red-accented tachometer.
  • NISMO-tuned Recaro sports seats for stability and comfort.
  • Five body colours, including NISMO Stealth Gray.

The Skyline NISMO Limited edition, conceived to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the S54A-1 model Skyline GT, features a design reminiscent of race cars.


Distinguished by a Takumi label celebrating the master craftsperson behind its engine assembly at the Yokohama Plant; this includes an exclusive serial plate indicating its production number, and a unique emblem.


While we're sad the 2024 Skyline isn't sold locally in Australia, we're certainly glad carmakers are still showing respect to models that helped garner a generation of car fans worldwide.
