Lisa Gregorini’s Race To Start Line (video)

With the 48th Goldenstate Championship approaching this weekend at Perth Motorplex we took a sneak peek into the Scratch And Match Motorsport Top Doorslammer team garage.

Husband and wife team Daniel and Lisa Gregorini have a shared passion for drag racing, as Daniel states, “what’s better than having one door slammer… having two!”.

Something else amazing and special about this particular race team is Lisa having the support of her very own all-female crew.

Rach had the pleasure of heading into the workshop to meet the girls working hard on maintenance for this week’s test and tune day, with each girl having their own section of the car to work on whilst working as a team. This team really know their stuff and have a passion for learning everything Daniel and Lisa have to offer.

Hearing where this all started for Lisa really shows the depth of racing history in her blood, teaming up with partner Daniel who himself has some great race highs and some crazy race stories that would scare most out of the driver’s seat. Doing it for the rush only makes him want to get behind that wheel and chase those low numbers.

This week is very important for Lisa particularly, heading out for her final licensing run in the lead up to gates opening Friday. This will be the first time the two-car team will be competitive in the same bracket. What a way to finish out the year!

Bringing family together couldn’t get more powerful than this, drag racing at its best with eleven doorslammers, seven top fuel dragsters and eight top fuel bikes!
