Another thing to consider about EWPs is that they are able to better regulate your engine temps when your car is sat idling or after it has been shut off. Belt-driven pumps cut out when your engine is powered down which stops the flow of water. Electric pumps can be set to keep water flowing for a set amount of time after the ignition is switched off.
