Unliked SVG, Kostecki has a background in stock car racing — spending much of his younger years over in the USA. Brodie moved stateside in 2011, racing in the USAC Ford Focus Series, winning three national championships. By age 15, Brodie won his first Late Model Series race at Rockingham Speedway in 2013 and became the first racer from outside the United States to win at the circuit.

All eyes will be on Brodie to emulate the success of his fellow Supercars competitor, but credit where credit is due - RCR have picked out a hot contender for the seat that is sure to shake up the NASCAR paddock. Kostecki will join NASCAR heavy-weights Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon as RCR teammates on track at the brick yard.

“I am thrilled to be making my NASCAR Cup debut at the Brickyard,” Kostecki said.
“It’s an honour to compete at such an iconic venue and against some of the biggest names in motorsport.
“I’m incredibly grateful to RCR for giving me this opportunity and I’m determined to make the most of it.”
