The Z Nismo is packs the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 as the lower spec Zs, though it's been juiced up to deliver 313kW of power and 520Nm of torque. That's 15kW and 45Nm more oomph than the regular Z model.
They've worked some magic to achieve the extra power and torque gains - better cooling, tweaks to the electronic wastegate control for more turbo boost, and some GT-R Nismo-inspired ignition spark timing thrown into the mix.
Unlike the regular Z, the Nismo version is ditching the manual transmission. Instead, it's packing a nine-speed automatic transmission that's been "enhanced" for a faster and more dynamic ride.
The looks have been tweaked, this includes a sleek mesh grille, sporty canards on the front, and added some red accents on both ends. There’s also a set of glossy black 19-inch rims that are slightly wider than what you get on the regular model.
Now, let's talk tyres - they've slapped on some R19 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires, similar to those found on the GT-R, but with the rear ones being a bit beefier.
Inside the Z Nismo, they've dialed up the style too. The engine start/stop and drive mode buttons have a slick anodized red finish. The digital instrument cluster rocks a red outline around the tachometer and does a cool red ‘flash’ during startup. Leather and Alcantara Recaro seats with red centre and Nismo logos in the headrests top it all off.
In terms if colours, you get five choices - Black Diamond Pearl, Brilliant Silver, Passion Red TriCoat, Everest White TriCoat, and Stealth Grey. They all come with a slick black-painted roof.
Pricing and all the nitty-gritty details for the Australian market will be revealed later.
