Priced at $660,500 (before on-road costs), with an optional $36,760 Heritage Design Package, the S/T combines elements of the 911 GT3 RS and the 911 GT3 with Touring Package. Its main focus is on road use, not track.
Powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six engine with 386kW and a six-speed manual transmission - found in the 992 GT3, buyers can expect the same insane performance and iconic sonorous noise. Performance wise 0-100km/h comes up in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 300km/h.
Kerb weight sits at just 1380kg. CFRP components include bonnet, roof, wings, doors, roll cage, rear axle anti-roll bar, and rear shear panel. The rear features a gurney flap spoiler, and wheels include 20-inch front, 21-inch rear magnesium items with ZR tyres.
The optional Heritage Design Package pays tribute to 911 S from the late '60s and '70s, and there’s also a classic green instrument cluster and clock as standard. Also unique to the S/T is Ceramica wheels, Gold badging and classic Porsche crests.
Inside features ‘Classic Cognac’ cloth seat centres, two-tone semi-aniline leather trim and Dinamica suede headliner. Australian-market S/Ts get additional features: tyre fit set, auto-dimming mirrors, LED headlights, front-axle lift system, digital radio, reversing camera.
If you’re feeling extra excited about this new model there’s also a limited edition Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T timepiece available for $21,041, which is shaped like the car's magnesium wheels.
With the winner of Summernats 35 being a Porsche 911, there’s no doubt great interest and passion in Australia for the longstanding, almighty sports coupe from Germany.
